What Members Thought
I read this as a break from a streak of good SFF books. It was interestingly funny and entertaining. I am usually faint-heated when it comes to gory details of blood, dismembered body parts, and the like. But by the end of the book was oddly desensitized.
2.5 stars. Interesting enough and a fast read (really a listen - audiobook format) that was probably worth the $5 we paid for it but not much more. Some chapters are more interesting than others, and overall the book drags on a bit too much. Most lasting impact: I am fully convinced to donate my body to science.
informative and witty, i suprisingly loved this book. the seemingly morbid subject matter is presented in such a way as to engage even a week-stomached reader such as myself.
This is one of those books where after reading it, you want to meet the author and go out with her for drinks and/or field research.
