I liked this book better than the first in this series - prob bc the main chachter was a bit easier to relate to than the girl in the last one. Some funny lines, entirely predicable, but a great story when you know going in that the book is a one night read and you don't expect anything more than that. ...more

I like this series a lot, but I felt like Bobby Tom changed quite a bit from the first book to the second. Maybe it's just because he was a side player in the first one. I liked Gracie, but she was a little more overbearing than I would like. It's one thing to be honorable (especially about money), but it's another thing to be fanatical. Not her best - I got really tired of Bobby Tom (also how can you take a man named Bobby Tom seriously? You just can’t. He’s already a quarter as hot because of his name, I’m sorry.) and his good ol’ boy bossy ways. I get what she was trying to do with the characters and it’s of its time (the clothes!!) but just... ew.
