This book was exhausting for me, mainly because it was so detailed and descriptive. These are good things, and I usually appreciate them in a mystery, but the violence in this book is so graphic and horrific that it upset my sleep. I don't think I'll be reading anymore books by this author, only because I just don't want to be exposed to his stories anymore.

Scary, but not nearly as good as my favorite Scandinavian mysteries, those by Arnaldur Indriðason. All hail Erlendur!
