What Members Thought
This book was really challenging. It was more of a book about writing and the writer's struggle rather than a novel with a strong plot. I ended up skipping over quite a bit of it in order to find out how it ends. For those of you who loved Carol Shields' other books (ie - the Stone Diaries), I would be hesitant to pick this one up.

I loved this book, it was my first Carol Shields work. I'm not able to articulate exactly why, but I just love her prose, it's stimulating and exciting and interesting.

With this one, Carol Shields is now one of my very favourite writers. I really, really loved this book. Everything about it is perfect.
