What Members Thought

Truthfully, I'd give this two-and-a-half stars. I enjoyed some of it, as some of it is quite smart and funny, but, overall, it felt like a cheap knockoff cross between Goethe's Faust, Glen Duncan's The Last Werewolf, the film Shaun of the Dead, and Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's Good Omens. I have been lingering over this book on the Melville House webpage for ages. It sounded fascinating, but it also sounded like there was some serious potential for turning out to be some pretentious hipster "edgy" lad lit.
