I really enjoyed this! It's a quick, compelling read--more accessible than No Place to Hide: Edward Snowden, the NSA, and the U.S. Surveillance State (which I also enjoyed) and also like, less... objective in tone? Ted Rall is very up front about considering Edward Snowden a hero and this is written in very admiring tones. Which is fine for me, because I also find Edward Snowden admirable, and I appreciate how straightforward Rall is with his POV. BUT for students looking for something objective

I was glad to see a Graphic Novel take on the Snowden story, as a way to draw people in who might not otherwise be interested enough to learn about this case. Unfortunately, it didn't make choices that would use a graphic novel format to its potential to add any dimension to how the story was told. It essentially had drawings of people's faces and a couple of photographs and put captions on them that did no more for helping me get into this story than a long magazine article would have.
