This was pretty decent. It would admittedly have been more interesting to me if I had been on a date in the past decade. Despite this, I still found it to be an interesting glimpse into single life these days.

Don't pick up this book if you're looking for an extended, written version of Ansari's recent standup special which definitely references the work he did for this book.

I was expecting this to be a comedy book, but it ended up being much more. The blend of studies cited and anecdotal evidence, combined with Ansari's humor made this a winner. The book makes me appreciate that I'm no longer in the dating world in this age of social media. If you are in that world, this book provides a sane way to navigate through it. ...more

I very much got this out from the library just because it's by Aziz Ansari. I assumed it was going to be a funny memoir a la "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" by Mindy Kaling, and that the title was just a title. It turns out it's kind of a sociology book. Kind of. Very funny, would recommend. Definitely would recommend the audiobook because Ansari is a really funny guy, and he does silly voices sometimes. ...more
