I feel a bit embarrassed for having enjoyed this as much as I did. It's really a book version of US magazine, focuses on Bravo's Andy Cohen (how in the world does he have so many celebrity friends? It makes me a bit curious to read his first book to find out, because a lot of the people mentioned here don't even get last names....they are either THAT close to Andy, or they aren't required. Trust me when I say that Andy sees more of SJP than does her husband and probably her children.)

This was exactly what the title suggests. Lots of name-dropping and copious amounts of alcohol. And yet, I was drawn in to Andy's life. I loved hearing about his new found love for his dog, felt for his struggles with finding the right person to date/be with, and also his concern at being happy with his life as is. Should he want more? Is it ok to be happy with being single? Interesting questions. I also found myself really enjoying the cast of characters that are his friends and family. I think

I've always loved Andy Cohen...I think its his love of life. And this book gave me moments of that to relate to, but a whole lot more moments to think about how empty and superficial and different his life is than mine. Harder to relate to I guess. Although maybe it's just the jealousy talking! Seriously 2 hour massages practically every day!!!

I love Andy Cohen & think that he's great, but this book did not reinforce those feelings. I loved how excited he is about things, but it's all fluff. Nothing juicy or too interesting - anything even possibly interesting is veiled. I think it's too soon for an Andy Warhol style diaries if you're still worried about your reputation & career. The book is okay & I definitely enjoyed parts of it, but I wish there was more. He came off as a superficial name dropper, which I know is part of his shtick

I thought this was going to be so much more fun than it was - I found it pretty boring to listen to, as much as I love Andy Cohen - so much so that it took me an entire year to get through the audiobook. I think I'd like a memoir of his more that wasn't in a diary format - the choppy bits and pieces didn't really work for me, personally.
