For an entire year Shonda Rhimes said YES to any and everything that maybe made her uncomfortable because her sister casually said to her on Thanksgiving, "you never say yes to anything." That comment really seemed to have had an transformative impact on Rhimes life. She started accepting opportunities to speak in public, focused on her health and on enjoying small moments with her children, let go of toxic friends and seemed to just get more comfortable in her skin. I am a Shondaland fan and appreciated the insight this book provided on her life and work. It was inspirational and she explained several points that is also find challenging. I might even try a few of her suggestions.
