1222 is a classic mystery with a Norwegian flavor. It tells the story of Hanne Wilhemsen, former police officer, and the other passengers of a train that is derailed 1,222 meters above sea level during a massive snowstorm. The passengers are trapped in the only hotel nearby and for each night they spend there, one murder is committed.

This is an interesting take on the "locked room" mystery-- think vanishing weapons, and a finite number of suspects! The plot concerns a group of travelers stranded in a remote, Norwegian mountain town during a terrible snowstorm. After an accident, Hanne, a former police officer now confined to a wheelchair, ends up investigating two murders and the passengers in a suspicious "extra carriage" attached to the train.
