A Doll's House is the story of Nora, a silly, superficial housewife who comes to realize that she is neither so silly nor so superficial as everyone around her has painted her to be. She begins to realize and draw from reserves of strength that she's had all along but never allowed herself to be conscious of before. Beautifully written and an enjoyment to read.

This wasn't at all what I expected, and I confess I was pleasantly surprised by the ending.
First of all, I thought I had read this, but clearly I had it confused with another book. Second of all, I had Nora pegged as a twit (I was basically silently screaming at her: just tell him everything and get it over with! for most of the play), Christine as a meddling ass, and Torvald as a pompous idiot.
