I saw this guy interviewed on The Daily Show several times and just loved him. I'm anxious to try the book.
It's always discouraging to read books that make me realize (again) how woefully ignorant I am. This book was incredibly interesting, but my science classes were so long ago, I found myself having to re-read certain passages in order to really understand what Tyson was saying. I just found this one hard going. I don't know if it was the writing or if it was me, but I found myself losing interest and putting it aside again and again. Finally gave up. My favorite essay was "Goldilocks and the Three Planets" about Venus, Mars, and Earth and how earth is "just right."
