I don’t want to give any spoilers away, so it’s a little hard for me to make specific criticisms about this book. First, on the whole, I loved the trilogy but I don’t think they are young adult (YA). I think the subject matter and the graphicness of them are not YA, and the only reason that they were classified as YA is because it gives Collins license to use the same plot devices in all three books. Glad there were only three of these books, both because I could have kept reading them forever, and because the story didn't over-extend itself. I appreciated that the ending to the series wasn't overly trite or convenient, and I'm looking forward to the movies.

I read this guy in 1 day. I was so looking forward to it! Can't quite believe it's over...
Honestly, the end, this third book, went too quickly. This story was just a race to the end. I would have loved more detail, more connection, more of the characters. I don't know. I loved loved loved the other two and really wanted to love this, but sadly, I just really liked it. Maybe it's just 'cause I'm sad that it's over now? But it wasn't as fulfilling as the other 2 for me. Sigh. ...more
