This is a fun little book of cartoons that imagine Darth Vader raising a four-year-old Luke Skywalker all while at the same time attempting to curry favor with the dark emperor and crush the rebel alliance. Kid versions of favorite characters like Leia, Han Solo, Greedo, Lando and even the Bantha Keeper make cameo appearances. Keep an eye out for references sprinkled throughout the comics.

This one was kinda funny, but it wasn't as funny as it's sequel - Darth's Little Princess. I did enjoy a couple exchanges: "Pick up your toys. Luke, I am your father. Do you want a time out?" and "Luke, come with me." L"Why?" "Because it is the only way." L"Why?" "Because." L"Because why?"

Would make a charming Father's Day present for a dad obsessed with Star Wars. Lots of one-page vignettes about fatherhood loosely framed in Star Wars roles. Lots of cute little insider Star Wars jokes. Adorable if not exactly fitting perfectly within in the canon.

Cute and funny, this small graphic novel will appeal to fans of Star Wars. Each page stands alone and shows Darth Vader and his small son, Luke. Other Star Wars characters make an appearance. I laughed out loud at some of the frames, but couldn't help but wish for more of a narrative.

cute and humorous (and super quick read!) though I am not a mega-fan of Star Wars, I have seen it...and I related to the parent-of-a-preschooler side of this book....always under your feet and asking questions...sneaking treats from the cookie jar by using The Force.

This short but extra cute graphic novel system about a world in which Darth Vader wasn't separated from his son and daughter (although Leia only shows up on one page in this book - she has her own book Vader's Little Princess) and raises them. ...more

Love, love, love this book. Recommended for any parents, or kids, or star wars fans, or even anyone who is looking for something fun to read.
