I completely agree with my best friend Greg Fanoe on this book. I enjoyed the plot a lot and thought it was very interesting. What I hated: 1) the amount of pointless page-filling description used to and past the point of tedium. 2) THE LOVE STORY!!! Much like in Homeland, it only serves to distract from what are the far more interesting possibilities and things at stake in the book. Long read but worth it.
If SK didn't write this, I'd rate it 2 stars. The premise got me hooked. The first third of the book kept me going. The rest was just fits and starts. I can't say that it was boring, but I was often waiting for something better to happen.

I listened to this book and very much enjoyed the character development and the unique way the King dealt with time travel. It was a great book to listen to and saved me many days on my long commute.
