What Members Thought
This book is all about the ending. You go through it, enjoying the story of this boy trapped on a boat with a handful of deadly animals, his story of survival, etc. And then WHAM. You finish and want to call everyone you know who have already read the book to talk.
never read a book like this before.
still not sure what to make of it (perhaps one for the re-read list?), but definitely enjoyed it and can remember little details years later..

This was another book on tape, but I was captivated. it really helped me get through the drive to Columbus. And the ending... it just floored me.
Another book that everyone seemed to like more than I did (including the Booker committee!).
Definitely for fans of magic realism.
