I really wish we could do 1/2 stars. I would give this book a 2 1/2.
This book is ok to good, because the imagery of Grenouille's ability to smell any and everything, except for himself (because he has no odor) was really great, and funny at times. Additionally, the detailed depictions of how Grenouille learned to make perfumes and oils gave me an appreciation of the art associated with creating perfumes during that era.
