Maybe this wasn't the best Delillo novel to start with, or maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe the fictionalized story of the JFK assassination is too close to a girl who grew up in Dallas... I've heard great things about Delillo but for some reason just couldn't quite get into this book's story. There are, however, moments of incredible beauty in the language and some excellent (and cutting) descriptions of Dallas.

We shall see if I make it all the way through this right now, since I'm in an brain candy book mode and Libra is anything but that. I am already newly impressed by DeLillo's amazing command of language and characterization.
