What Members Thought
I liked The Secret History, but I didn't LOVE it. Many friends (and my sister) had really enjoyed it, and I had been meaning to read it for some time now. While the characters are incredibly well developed, and the writing is fantastically detailed, I felt that the story was a bit over-written. Tartt is certainly a solid writer, though.

There's something about this one... Maybe it's that I know that part of Vermont a bit, or that the description of Henry moving Bunny's head on its broken stem reminds me of too many first aid and lifeguard practices, but I find the book disturbing and fascinating all at once.
