What Members Thought
Fascinating biography of Sophia Duleep Singh, the daughter of the last Maharajah of Punjab (he was forced to abdict as a child to the British), who later became an ardent suffragette. Anand is a journalist and she moves the story along smoothly and includes background information to give readers a strong sense of 19th/early 20th century Britain and India. Highly recommended.
