Shoplifter was a wee bit depressing. Corrina Park has a degree in English lit...which got her a job writing copy at an ad agency. She feels stuck at her job, lonely without a partner, and unsure what to do to change her situation. Hello mid-20s with a humanities degree. I can relate to her struggles but found the book didn't exactly inspire hope. I would love to see more about Corrina and what she gets into after this book concludes. My latest library trip included checking out about 15 graphic novels, mostly sight unseen. I hadn't heard of any of the authors and didn't spend much time weeding out things before I left. Surprisingly, I have found some real gems in this seemingly random stack. Shoplifter is one of these gems.
