Good. A great breadth of “princesses” (the term is used loosely on occasion) from around the globe and at many different points in recorded history. The book is organized into rough categories like princesses who seized power, princesses who were insane, princesses who weren’t princesses (I.e. who were faking it), etc. It gets a bit bloody at times.

I really quite enjoyed this collection of short biographies. It's not exactly a feminist's dream collection of women from history, but the author does a great job separating fact (or what is most likely fact) from myth or convenient fiction. And most importantly, it's well-written and often funny.
