What Members Thought
I thought about giving this book two stars for its self-indulgence and cultural myopia, but I did find some bits interesting. And I'm feeling generous. I don't understand the hype, though.

Disappointing. I know this is non-fiction but I was hoping for a little bit more of an exciting adventure not this dry and dull account.
Fun, fact-filled, very much like a long article in the New Yorker but in book form. Read almost entirely at home, finished last 100 pages in a Saturday morning binge.
