Lol, re-reading this one a decade later because I found an audiobook read by the author.
I read a couple hundred pages of this novel and simply lost interest in the story. Never finished it.
a bit too epic, but entertaining and well-written, despite waxing romantic about baseball a lot.I actually liked the non-magical parts better, when they were in the real world. I don't mind complications, but it got kind of tedious and ok, ok, we get it, baseball's ammaaazing. I still liked it, just not as much as I thought I would.
