While the first 2/3 may be more “cinematic,” for me the last third is the book’s finest, and really hits home the unfathomable and widespread terror endured by the Osage people. It’s fantastic, gumshoe journalism. I’m curious how this section will be adapted into the film.

Fascinating read. Still a little stunned to learn about this period in our history. For non fiction (and someone who typically favors fiction), it has great pacing and bits of suspense which make it very readable.
