I hadn't read many reviews of this book, but I'm so glad I read it! I'm usually not one for mythology, but this was a wonderful story. I loved the characters--they were well developed and interesting. The relationships in this book are wonderfully developed, fathers and sons, mentors and mentees, I loved learning about this myth from a human perspective. Welp I wanted a book with anguish and longing, and I got it. I would have given this 5 stars if reading it didn't make me so angry and sad thanks to hubris, war, and the endless waste of human lives.
