Kalanithi is definitely a good writer, but this book wasn't quite as "beautiful" as all the hype led me to believe it would be.
It actually read as pretty uneven to me, which makes sense -- Kalanithi started it at a time when he thought, frankly, that he would have more time. I cannot articulate how meaningful this book was to me.
I can say that the writing is elegant, purposeful, and direct. I felt an urgency to take in every word while also savoring the story.
