Goldie is a valet at the hotel her dad manages, but she wants to be the house detective and so she helps out when she can. I hadn't realized this was set in the 60s, but I love it even more than I thought I would! The art and coloring are so gorgeous--I love Goldie's hair and style, and the candy colors match her adorableness and contrast the cases she gets involved in. I also super love her and Diane. Loved this! Think Nancy Drew in comics form.
I read the Goldie Vance Vol. 2 previously, so this is my second experience with the series, and I'm started to get hooked on Goldie as a character. She's curious to a fault, but her energetic love for cracking a tough case always sets her on the right trail.
