This novel reimagines Sherlock Holmes as a streetwise man with a troubled past in contemporary Los Angeles, and this structure does a lot of the heavy lifting.
Sherlock Holmes in East LA, leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Good characters, with a fun and pulpy tone. Sort of a thinned-out Elmore Leonard fixated on Pac and Biggie.
