This was a lot of fun. I was nervous at first about reading a fictionalized memoir where the author tells you right in the title that the book will be full of lies, but it reads like a fantasy that happens to follow the arc of someone's real life. There are mermaids and a ghost and a lot of kung-fu fighting.
