One of the most amazing things about reading is the way it lets us see glimpses of other people’s lives. Maybe it’s someone with a life very similar to mine - then I can feel seen and known and less alone. Or maybe it is someone with life experiences very different from mine - and in that case I hope it helps me be more understanding and empathetic.
