Incredibly engaging. I suppose it is human nature to be curious about our own kind...specially the out-of-the-box types. We get to see plenty here! Amazing beauty and grace is captured in everyday situations and scenes. The bonus of the stories with the photographs give an added depth, at times comical and others tragic.

Reading the Humans of New York books in reverse publication order was interesting. I still love all of his books, but you can definitely see how his style has progressed, from merely pictures, to his own captions, to allowing his subjects to tell his stories. While I think I prefer stories from the subjects themselves, this book was still delightful, and had several photos that were especially poignant with his commentary, or no commentary at all.
