This book was a very quick read, even for a book with just over 200 pages...That is mostly because this novel is written in the style of a dictionary with 1 "definition" per page...which means, some pages have a lot of white space.. (and we all know that white space = quicker reading!!)

Ugh! I wish I wrote this book. So good!
Love, Love, Loved this book. My only issue was that it was far too short.
Some favorites: Arduous, Beguile, Belittle, Bemoan, Beware, Buffoonery, Detachment, Posterity, Viable

Intense little book. The author uses dictionary style intries to allow a glimpse of an unamed couple's relationship. The fact that he can use words seemingly unrealted to anything "lovey" to illustrate aspects of a relationship shows how all encompassing love is in our lives. My favorite "definition" is ubiquitous. "When it's going well, the fact of it is everywhere."...

This reminded me at least a little of Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life. That's part of the reason I liked it so much.
Also loved the way Levithan plays with words. And, it was fun to piece the story together with each new dictionary entry. ...more
