What a darling, diverting, humorous, sneakily empowering book. I, sadly, did not have access to Dealing with Dragons as a child (I am sure I would have loved it.), but have discovered it as an adult, thanks to Gail Carriger's monthly reading selections, and love it now. Cimorene is a fun, fiesty, intelligent, and resourceful young maiden (not in distress). The friendships she develops (with other females! not about men!) along the way are healthy and helpful, as well as humorous. I love any book

This reminded me of another childhood favorite, The Ordinary Princess. I love to see empowered young women taking charge of their own lives- brilliant!
