When Saroo was five, he got separated from his older brother and ended up wandering the streets of Calcutta until he was taken to an orphanage and adopted by an Australian couple. 25 years later, with the help of Google Earth and a whole lot of persistence, he found himself knocking on the door of his childhood home.
I’m looking forward to seeing the movie, as I think this story will be even more moving in a visual format.

I saw Lion, and decided to read the book. Usually, the book adds another dimension to the movie, but I'm not sure that's true with this one. Most of the book is very on the surface, and I was hoping he would discuss more about the conflict or even the non-conflict (because it seems to resolve quite neatly with little discussion) between having an identity rooted with family in India and family in Australia.
