I read this because I have become hopelessly and completely addicted to the TV series. Sadly, this book at least did not live up to the awesomeness of the show. It was an enjoyable read, but not amazing, and there were a few things that really bugged me (no, Aria, "existentialist" does not mean "silly and out there").

This was a nice light, fluffy read. I didn't really like any of the girls, but I find the mystery of A very intriguing, I am looking forward to reading the rest to find out who it is.

Definitely for older teens. Drugs, language, sex, and mature situations. I can see why the series is popular with teens, but I think I'm good with just having read the first one. :)

Keep in mind, I am not watching the television show based on the books, but I loved this book! Fluff, yes, but good fluff! I only wish that I could've related more to at least one character. All the girls were pretty outlandish, but maybe my high school experience was rather tame, at least in comparison! Cannot wait to pick up the next in the series!

Only because the girls in my book club at school said it wasn't as bad I assume it would be. We'll see about that....
