I finally broke down and read the book and am a little embarrassed to admit that, yes, it even made me cry a little bit. Marley sounds like he was an amazing dog although I have to admit, his adventures may have kept me from being a dog owner for a bit longer...

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of a couple with an eccentric dog. Lots of laughs. Especially if you have ever owned a dog.

Just have to say that based on the picture of the author, he looks nothing like Owen Wilson. Maybe I will see the movie after reading this.

Well. I did enjoy this book. However, I would not recommend the audio version. The author does the reading, and he's pretty terrible. His accent is like nails on a chalkboard. It absolutely distracted me from enjoying the book. ...more

The story is exactly what we went through with our dog Wally. Somehow Wally has miraculously made it to the age of 13, despite oing through many similar expierences that Marley did.
