What Members Thought

Well, I see why people like this series! Nicely fleshed out characters and complex sets of relationships. And creepy cool magic as a bonus.

This is the absolute best audiobook I've ever listened to (it even edged out Neverwhere!), but most of that is due to the fantastic reading voice of Will Patton. Wow!
(I may misspell a few names, since I listened to it, I'm guessing a bit.)
There were a few little things I didn't like about the plot, and I found the ending to be wholly unsatisfying because it did not resolve the issue that opens the book. On the other hand, I am incredibly sad that it is over.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. But I fell in love with the characters because they were not what I had expected. And the plot was not what I had expected. And I am still not entirely sure what happened, but it was pretty fun.

Not as good as Scorpio Races, but I really enjoyed the "magic" aspect of the story. All of the characters have a lot going on, so I think it'll make a pretty interesting series. She's becoming one of my go to authors for teens...boys and girls.

Enjoyable. Very different in tone and style from The Scorpio Races - I honestly wouldn't have guessed they were written by the same author. The paranormal elements in this book are not typical, which makes them more interesting.
I like Blue as a character - although she responds and reacts to a wide variety of different personality types, that's not all she does - she actually has agency. But certain aspects of her character seem tacked on, almost an afterthought, and those parts are less convin ...more

Interesting characters, plot twists that you don't see coming, and a quickly moving storyline make this a great read.
