What Members Thought
"Volcanically sexy" was the most inaccurate and cruelly misleading way to lead me into this book. There were some moments of sexiness, and after the wildly boring (is there such a thing?) first 150 or so pages, certainly I did get engaged with the story enough to want to keep reading. But wow was this slow af. The things it said about abortion, about hiding your queerness, about marital violence, were fascinating and worth unpacking, but there wasn't enough interesting stuff to validate 560 page
