I enjoyed this recent outing of Harry Bosch, now with a new partner who comes to him as both a rookie and a hero. As they get to know each other Harry discovers that Lucy Soto had a special reason for joining the LAPD. Her membership in the Hispanic community is helpful as they delve into an odd case in their Open-Unsolved Unit --a mariachi player who was shot many years ago has now died of his wounds and thus the case is now murder.
