I'd heard about this book but didn't even think about reading it until I kept seeing tweets on Twitter about how good it was. Honestly, cyborgs and androids aren't usually my cup of tea, but when Amazon had it on sale, I decided to finally give it a chance. I'm so glad I did. I was completely blown away by Cinder. This retelling of the popular fairy tale was incredible. The characters were unique and fresh, and the story had just enough twists to keep me interested. I had a feeling where the boo

a nice quick read that delved into new territory. i mean, cinderella as a cyborg? pretty awesome.
the characters started to get richer as the story went on, and the plot picked up too. (even if i saw the big plot point miles and miles away.)
it's a good story that the young set will really love. i hope the writing gets stronger as the series progresses, and i look forward to reading the next books (though i wish they were coming out faster!). and i did like the ties to the fairy tale - especiall ...more

Everyone told me this was predictable, and so I wasn't surprised when I figured out the ending/shocker about 1/3 of the way through. With that said, it was still an interesting spin on the classic Cinderella tale. I don't think I'll continue with the series, but this one did help me pass my commute faster and I eventually became more engaged in the story.

I enjoyed this retelling of Cinderella. I think what i liked most was the ways it didn’t follow the original tale.
