The voice of the narrator may take some getting used to but by the end of the first two chapters, I was hooked. Each character struggles in his/her own way and yet, there is still a great deal of sweetness and humor here. Even the chapter titles are funny. There is something about a narrator who is both honest and delusional that makes for a really interesting reading experience. Quick has a way with language and though the narrator may seem simplistic at first, the writing and evolution of the

2 stars. But it's a "strong" 2 stars, because although I didn't think this was all that great, I did find it reasonably entertaining.
I went into this cold, which is unusual for me, but not unheard of.
