I really enjoyed this. It’s been a while since I’ve read a Stephanie Plum book, so I don’t know if this one is truly better than the last few, or if it’s a case of absence making me fonder.
Stephane is on the track of a NJ mobster who jumped bail, and meanwhile someone is killing his mobster buddies and firebombing his accountant, plus a Russian assassin is after Ranger, and of course Grandma Mazur is up to her usual tricks, and Morelli and Bob make appearances. I really do enjoy reading this series eventhough I have issues with it. There is very little character development over the now 21 books in the series. The main problem is the main character's indecisive triangle between Ranger,Morelli and herself. Still this is no closer to being resolved. By now I know what it is I am going to get and I just enjoy it for what it is and not care about the things that it isn't. Maybe this is like Groundhog Day (the movie) and she is destined to wake up everyday

Being that this is the 21st book in a series, of course it is a bit repetitive. But I enjoyed this one more than the last couple that I've read. It wasn't too over-the-top, and it wasn't super wrapped up in the Ranger vs Joe of it all.
