You’re kidding right?

I’m like… one, two, there and we’re done.

How can anyone make this interesting?

Atul Gawande sure did. Fantastic book. Incredible stories beautifully written and learned, much to my surprise, a ton.

I've been meaning to read this book for forever, and when I ran out of audiobooks from the library, I found this available and immediately snatched it up. I thought it might be triggery because I tend to get very anxious when it comes to medicine, doctors, and hospitals, but instead, I found myself sometimes crying tears of gratitude at the advances in modern medicine, many of the ones in this book due to the use of checklists to prevent errors. Dr. Gawande helped develop the operation checklist for surgeries and explores how checklists are useful in multiple professions. It's a great book for those who love checklists or anyone who organizes. Actually everyone should read it. ...more
