I mean, honestly -- a book about college a cappella? But this was surprisingly compelling, and fascinating. My alma mater itself had a plethora of a cappella groups and since I can't carry a tune, I didn't sing in any of them, but I had friends (and exes) who did. I really enjoyed this, though probably not everyone would find a book chronicling college a cappella groups all that interesting. Definitely I thought it was a fun read, one of those non-fiction books that reads as easily as a novel, and being that I am fascinated by the genre, I liked it. It was well researched and organized.

So I didn't even know this was a thing. I thought it was just a funny thing someone made into a movie. Turns out, it's real. Of course the movie takes a lot of liberties with it's source material but it was still pretty interesting. ...more
