I first saw The Sugar Queen in Barnes and Noble. I had been walking past the tables set out and the cover caught my eye. It was a soft cover with a beautiful picture of a lollypop and a girl in a dress. I took a picture of it with my cell phone so I could remember to request it from my library, but I was so back logged on books I never got around to it.

I love this author, and I loved this book. Her idea of books guiding one of the characters through life just tickles me. I wish I had that! But not having it, reading Sarah Addison Allen's books is next best.

Love. Absolutely loved this book. It was pretty original (books appearing out of nowhere?) and it was so delightfully whimsical. I've since added every other title the author has written to my wishlist and they're high on my priority list of books to pick up. It was such a sweet book. Two weeks later, I'm still thinking about it and smiling.

An idea that was better as an idea than in execution. Also, super saccharine.
Another solid novel from Sarah Addison Allen -
I honestly can't get enough of her enchanting story telling.
I would recommend her novels to anyone looking for a story full of heart and a little magic.
