The audiobook quality was pure crap. I was also upset that Kiedis didn't narrate his own autobiography. And I was not a fan of the narrator they used. It seemed every other sexual encounter Kiedis had was "the most amazing, the most profound, etc" he ever had. That shit got old fast. The way this was written was very matter of fact. This is what happened, then this, then this. There was no real feeling of remorse or regret for all the drug use and fucked up behavior and infidelity.

read most of this book in one sitting - it's an engaging, fast paced and charismatic tale of a true rockstar as he rose, fell, and rose again. pictures and lyrics punctuate the story...a really engrossing read. thanks clau! ;)

UGH. Cocaine, heroin, ok I get it! I can enjoy a good drug tale anytime but this went on and on and on....240 pages in i kept asking my husband, "When does it get better???"

I really wanted to learn to love you as a person as much as I love you as a musician. The Chili Peppers have written the soundtrack to many wonderful memories in my life. However, your excruciatingly detailed passages of doing blow or getting blown didn't set well with me, considering your supposed state of total oblivion.
