So, this book is set in 2021. That's next year. This book was written in the late 60s and while we aren't quite there technology wise (no humanoid androids walking around)..it IS 2020 and some pretty wild stuff has happened this year, so maybe the androids are on their way. :)

Interesting philosophical questions about what makes us human. Th ...more

This was really well done scifi; the world was believable and the characters compelling and everyone second guessing who was a clone was VERY reminiscent of the new Battlestar Galactica. I'm still not sure I fully grasp the whole Mercerism thing, but I really enjoyed reading this.

[Earlier I said:]
1. Somehow I did NOT KNOW that this = Blade Runner. How embarrassing.
2. I've only just started but I'm totally identifying with his desperation for a pet (which I don't think is the point). Basically my
