I made it through the wilderness! I loved the Hobbit, I almost didn't finish because I got bored somewhere in the beginning of Two Towers, and there was a long long period of wandering. But I was determined! And then of course everything moved way faster.

After seeing the first movie I went back and read The Hobbitt and all three parts of The Lord of the Rings. I found the depth of detail that Tolkein puts in his writing helps to give the reader a very clear mental picture of Middle Earth.
