I didn't think there could possibly be a female MC I loathed more than Bella Swan or Ana Steele. Whelp... I stand corrected. I hated Kiera. HATED her. She made me want to vomit. She was a bitch. Plain and simple. Stupid, selfish, hypocritical, annoying, a tease, aggravating, irritating... I could go on but you get the point. She didn't deserve either Kellan or Denny. There's no one to root for here and the distasteful plot and characters makes this a DNF at nearly 50%. The book is also dated and the "boys will be boys" from ten years ago is called sexual harassment and just plain dickishness that isn't cute today. I don't like anyone enough to want to keep slogging through this stupid story.

Note: this was so anti-feminist, I don't think I can justify adding it as a VF book. The FIRST romance-type book I've left off that list. Shame. ...more

The single star is generous. Never in my whole life have I read a worse book. Not only was the writing terrible, the characters were the most deplorable, stock, uninspired pieces of shit that I have ever come across. I hated all of them; Kiera, most of all. What a terrible, terrible person. No redeeming qualities whatsoever. No remorse. And she gets everything she wants. Great.

There is literally no point to reading the 400+ pages of circular melodrama that I had to suffer through. Save yourself ...more
